Baptism
Baptism means a lot to us at All Saints Denaby. It’s a real honour to help welcome your child into the Christian faith and church family.
A baptism is a happy occasion, but it’s also an important one. You, the godparents, and the church will be making promises before God to help your child grow up knowing what it means to follow Jesus and be part of the church.
To help you feel confident about those promises, we’d love to spend some time with you chatting about what the Christian faith is all about. This will mean meeting together for a few weeks, and we’ll also encourage you to come along to our Sunday service at 10am. Don’t worry about kids being noisy — we’ve got plenty of families, and a bit of chaos is part of the fun.
Once you’ve had chance to explore things, been along to church, and feel ready to make the baptism promises for your child, we’ll get a date booked in.
If you don’t feel able to make those promises right now, that’s absolutely fine. You can still have a special Thanksgiving service — a lovely way to celebrate your child without the baptism promises or the water. And if you feel ready for baptism later on, we’ll be here.
We’re really looking forward to welcoming you.
